The Kuchar concave gives you 23½" surface for more thrash and separation compared to 11½" of surface on the John Deere. The Kuchar concaves release the material below the center of the cylinder, compared to the John Deere's concave releasing material above the center of the cylinder, thus eliminating back feed over the cylinder on a Kuchar Concave.
Our filler plates will reduce dusting, help eliminate cracked grain, and take less power to run your machine. Cobs roll through the cylinder and grain is removed without cracking. The design creates a suction effect that keeps dust out of the cylinder, which is the leading cause of vibration and abnormal rasp bar wear. They are easy to instal -- just bolt them in place between the rasp bars.
The Kuchar Finger Grate improves seperation in corn and beans because the material is aerated and fluffed between the cylinder and the beater. The Kuchar Grate feeds the beater in a lower position, resulting in substantially less back-feed over the cylinder. Larger than the standard O.E.M. by 20 square inches (30%), the Kuchar Finger Grate will help your combine deliver more capacity and cleaner grain without back-feeding.
Kuchar cylinder bushings are easily inserted on the cylinder shaft inside each of the bar supports. They strengthen the cylinder and reduce flexing, which causes poor thrashing. They also prevent breaking of the drive spiders. Bushings fit all 9000, 10, 50, and 60 series Deere combines.
Straw Walker Curtains are multiple steel curtains. As the residue and the crop hit them, the crop is driven down, leaving the residue on top for better separation on the walker.
The Kuchar Chaff Breaker does not allow air under the walker, because air to 1/3rd of the pre-cleaner is shut off. OEM prechaffers are recommended to be run closed on all crops except corn; this will allow air to go under the walker and keeps grain up so it can not fall through the walker. The Kuchar Chaff Breaker has a shaking shoe action to seperate grain from the chaff. As grain comes off the chaff breaker, the Kuchar design gives it a blast of air to seperate the chaff from the grain. The precleaner should be 1/8" more than the bottom sieve, so it can be used in all crops. It benefits your harvesting by making it faster and more efficient, due to twenty percent seperation on the pre-cleaner.
The Kuchar Air Intake Screen provides better separation and pulls air from the bottom and the sides. This allows more and even air on the Chaffer for easier and better separation. The John Deere Air Intake Screen only pulls from the sides creating un-even air flow. This allows more and even air on the Chaffer for easier and better separation.
